I’m Toria! Have been since September 15, nearly 22 years ago! …This is a little odd. Where does one even begin on a new blog? Guess I’ll just dive right in. I often find myself struggling to put my thoughts into words. Let me tell you, there is a lot that goes on in my head. And it’s kind of a mess, I don’t even know what goes on up there half the time! Since I have been in college I have found a lot of value in reading. Unfortunately I didn’t used to value it as much as I do now… Whether it be Scripture, other books, or other’s blogs, I try to get something out of whatever it is I read. I find myself relating to a lot of the blogs I come across. Certain posts have encouraged me in my walk with the Lord and have provided me with great advice. And that was just by the author being vulnerable and letting their readers know what is on their hearts. I suppose you could say I have been inspired. By those bloggers, but mostly by my God. He placed it on my heart, starting a blog, a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I am incredibly stubborn and lazy and disobedient. Shame on me. The waiting shall be no more! I have decided to (finally) start this blog for a couple of reasons.
First, this is just me processing things through writing them out (and sharing them with the internet world…. yikes?!) This is definitely a new outlet of sorting through my thoughts and words, but lately the Lord has been showing me that new things can be a really great way to learn and grow! And lemme tell ya I am all about growth!
Second, I hope that I can take my experiences and other things the Lord is teaching me to help you, maybe just a little bit. Personally, I am nowhere near having it all together. But I know that God has a plan for my life. Even though I don’t have all the answers I can fully trust that He does! I know that He is leading me down a path that [hopefully] reflects His love and grace oh-so-sweetly. He desires me AND He desires me to share His truth. So my prayer is that this blog can be one of the tools to point others and even myself closer to Him. Because if you weren’t aware, God is really really cool. He can change your life if you just open your heart and LISTEN to what He has to say. This is me stepping out in faith and listening to my Creator. So I say to you, whoever is reading, welcome to my blog (picture me smiling really big with two thumbs up @ you)!
